HOW TO PLAY

iPhone Assassin is a game for iPhone users where you virtually “assassinate” other iPhone users.

To play, first sign up by pressing JOIN at the main page at iPhoneAssassin.com. This will give you your special code name, consisting of three letters and a number, such as “Alpha Bravo Charlie 1″ or “ABC1″.

Next, click on the “Set your nickname” link to create a nickname, like “Joe the Assassin”.

Now, go and find someone else with an iPhone. Show them your iPhone and tell them “This is an iPhone Assassination!” Then, tell them to use the iPhone Safari browser to go to iPhoneAssassin.com so they can join the game.

Assassination Rules: You must be physically near the victim. You must see the victim’s iPhone. You must have your iPhone and be showing it. If the victim does not want to play, be polite. Whoever finishes saying “This is an iPhone Assassination!” first gets the kill. In case of a tie, no one gets the kill and you both must wait 24 hours before trying again. Use common sense and have fun.

Once you are both a part of the game, the assassin should click on the “I HAVE JUST MADE A KILL” button, while the victim should click on the “I HAVE JUST BEEN KILLED” button. The victim will get a five-digit number which the assassin must enter into their screen to complete the assassination.

Both the assassin and the victim can now continue to play by finding others to assassinate. They cannot assassinate each other any more.

You can view your score and kill list by pressing the “Your Score” link on the main page. When you kill another player, your score increases by the amount of their score. So if a player has a score of 8, and you kill them, you gain 8 points. The victim does not lose any points.

Nine Men’s Morris

Nine Men's Morris

Nine Men's Morris

Nine Men’s Morris is an ancient strategy board game dating back thousands of years which was very popular in medieval England. It’s played on a board consisting of 3 concentric squares with lines connecting at the sides. Each player gets nine game pieces. The pieces are positioned at the intersections on the board.

The game has two stages. First the players take turns placing their pieces on the board. Once all of a players pieces have been placed you are allowed to move them along the lines of the board. They can make one move each turn and can only go as far as the next intersection.

The object of the game is to form a mill which is 3 pieces in a row. Each time a player places a piece into a mill he gets to take one of his oponents’ pieces. Pieces that are not in mills have to be taken first so pieces in mills are safe from being taken as long as there are out-of-mill pieces. The game is won by removing 7 of your opponents’ pieces since at that point your opponent will have only 2 left which are not enough to form a mill.

This game has been designed to work with your iPhone or iTouch but is also accessable through most desktop web browsers. When playing on your iPhone this game will format for portrait or landscape orientation.

Follow the prompts above the game board. They will help you along the way by letting you know whos turn it is and what is going on in the game.

Durring the initial stage of the game the players will take turns placing their pieces on the board. The number of pieces left is indicated above or to the of the game board depending on how you have your phone oriented.

When making a move in the second stage, simply click on the piece that you wish to move. You will see the piece become highlighted and look transparent to indicate that you have selected it. Only pieces that are free to move and not blocked on all directions will become selected. To finish the move click again on an adjacent open spot and the piece will move there. If you wish to move a different piece you can simply click on it instead. If you are playing on a computer, moveable pieces will be indicated when you pass the mouse over them.

When you have formed a mill you will be given a chance to remove one of your oponnets pieces. All pieces that are elegable for removal will become highlighted. Click on one of these pieces to complete your turn and remove the piece.

If a player exits in the middle of a game, the computer will take over for that player and finish for him.

Deduction

Instructions: The goal of Deduction is to guess which five pegs the computer has chosen using deductive reasoning. The computer will create a sequence of five colored pegs, which you must recreate by selecting pegs in the color and order you believe the computer has chosen. Press on the peg holes in the current row to place a peg, and continue clicking on the peg to change its color. Press the button to the right of the row to complete the guess. You will be informed of how many pegs are the correct color in the correct spot, and how many pegs are the correct color, but not in the correct spot. Use this information to determine the correct sequence by submitting additional guesses.

WordBreaker

WordBreaker is a word/logic game, similar to Jotto. At the beginning of the game, you choose a secret word. This may be any word found in an English dictionary except those that start with a capital letter and those designated as foreign words. The object of the game is to correctly guess the computer’s secret word before the computer guesses yours.

You and the computer take turns guessing each other’s secret word. Each guess is answered by the number of letters that the guess has in common with the secret word. The game ends when a player guesses their opponent’s secret word (or an anagram thereof).
