Tips: 2009 iPod to Computer Transfer Sofrware Comparisons

Flight Control is a delightful action/strategy game for iPhone and iPod Touch that is as simple as it is wickedly addictive.

Touch and drag your aircraft to their landing zones, and avoid mid-air collisions. It sounds easy, but as more and more planes arrive you will need smart strategy, keen eyes and a smooth steady-as-she-goes touch!

How to play Flight Control

1. Touch a plane and drag its flightpath to a runway
Place your fingertip on an plane and drag a path across the screen. A dashed white line will appear to show the flightpath that the plane will follow.

If you drag the flight path to the aircraft’s designated landing zone, it will turn white and automatically commence its descent for landing.

If the aircraft reaches the end of the flight path you have given it without landing, it will continue on in the same direction.

Aircraft will bounce off walls, so watch out for new arrivals!

2. Direct aircraft to their designated landing zones

When an aircraft first appears on screen, it is colour coded pink, yellow or blue. Landing zones are also colour coded. Pink planes must land on the pink runway, yellow planes on the yellow runway and the blue helicopters on the blue helipad.

Helicopters can land on the helipad from any direction, but planes must approach their runway from the correct direction, shown by the landing strips at one end of the runway.

Aircraft will be colour coded until they have been assigned to their correct landing area. Once they are on the correct path to land, they will turn white.

If you redirect a white aircraft away from its landing trajectory, it will return to its original colour.

3. Aircraft will turn white on approach to landing

When an aircraft is on track to land in the correct area, it will be white. You can still redirect its path by touching and dragging; if it is no longer on track to land, it will revert to its original colour.

4. Watch out for proximity warnings and redirect aircraft to avoid collisions!

If two aircraft approach each other too closely, you will hear and see a proximity warning. This does not mean that the aircraft will definitely collide; it means that they are close enough to each other to trigger the warning.

If it is your judgement that the aircraft can pass by each other in safety, you don’t need to do anything.

If you judge that the aircraft are likely to collide, you can redirect one or both onto a safer path by touching and dragging.
